Nearly a week after her husband stepped down from his role as one of the co-founders of GodTv, Wendy Alec has finally spoken out. According to an article published on the Plymouth Herald which was published 4 hours ago, Wendy has confirmed that her husband Rory Alec left her for another woman and no longer wants to stay married nor remain in ministry.
In a statement broadcasted on GodTv, Wendy spoke of how her marriage started to fall apart early 2014. She said sometime in March her husband started behaving in a strange manner and she felt in her heart something was up. She said by August 2014 Rory’s affair with a lady based in Austria had come to light. Unfortunately Rory and Wendy are no longer a couple as the statement read out suggests he refused counseling and has now moved out of his marital home.
According to Wendy, Rory is now living in a farm owned by his girlfriend’s father in South Africa (yes the Austrian lady with whom he cheated with). To make matters worse, this woman has been rather persistent and claims God told her that Rory is her husband…huh? come again, sorry lady but he cannot be your husband if he already has a wife as that would make it totally unbiblical. This is one thing that i would never understand, why some woman and some men target married people. Yes i understand nobody is perfect and we are still living on planet earth and hence prone to sin but for someone to target somebody who is already attached is bang out of order.
I feel sorry for this couple and their lovely children Samantha and Christian. I just pray God restores everybody concerned. Lets not forget, underneath it all, they are still people in need of the Grace and forgiveness of Yahweh.
Happy 57th birthday to our modern day Psalmist Micheal W Smith who turned 57 years old yesterday 7th October. Looking at his most recent picture one would not believe he is beyond his forties…more like he is just entering his forties. Michael is well known for his beautiful worship music which is a staple for many churches worldwide. I can testify that his music ushered me into the kingdom of God and helped me work out a lot of issues when i was a brand new believer way way back in 2006.
It is good to see somebody growing older gracefully (with the Grace of God of course). It is even better to see somebody ploughing away with the work of God and that is exactly what Michael is doing. Michael recently released his brand new album called Sovereign. This album is full of beautiful songs which i cannot imagine anybody listening to without lifting their hands up in praise and worship unto the Lord.
As well as being a full time musician Michael W smith is also married and has been married for 31 years (take note Hollywood celebs). Michael is also a father of 5 who lends his time to good causes. Wow how does he find the time….must be the Grace of God so here here to many many more happy birthdays Amen.
Wow it only seems like yesterday when Ja Rule released his first album Venni Vetti Vecci. Music is such a powerful tool in how it shapes our lives because every song brings back memories of friendship, relationships and even the weather…yes yes many moons ago before mamab got saved she occasionally went clubbing with friends and danced along to “holla holla”. As interesting as it all were, it is also nice to fast forward and see how God can change people’s lives into something more beautiful beautiful (like the song by Francesca Batistelli). I saw this clip the other day of Ja Rule talking about how he gave his life to Jesus during the promotional tour of the hit movie I’m in Love With a Church Girl where he plays the role of Miles Montego a high flying drug dealer who falls in love with a lovely church girl. The movie concludes with Miles becoming the pastor of a church almost like the opposite of life imitating art.
Ja Rule whose real name is Jeffery Atkins is has been married for over a decade and has 3 children with his wife Aisha Murray
Ja Rule is no stranger to getting in trouble with the law and some of his past legal issues include fire arm possession, assault and being caught with marrijuana. Despite his run in with the law it seems Ja Rule has surrendered all to the only one who matters…Jesus Christ.
All my friends know one thing about me that is i love my hot drinks. My cupboard is filled with lots of different teas ranging from red bush,English breakfast tea, green tea, ginger, lemon and of course hot chocolate and coffee. Once in a while when i am filling adventurous i like to sprinkle cinnamon on my hot chocolate especially on a cold winters day. Of course one does not have to wait for a cold winters day to inject some delicious warm hmmmmm in my day and so i always have my teas ready to go. It all depends on my mood and the weather but my everyday tea is usually Roobois red bush tea which i love because of its health properties and and zero caffeine. I love my green tea which is full of antioxidants as well as the odd coffee but i try not to have coffee often because it turns into a cycle of headaches which only go away when i drink more coffee lol.
As much as i love my tea i always feel as if i never make enough time to enjoy my cuppa as my chores always get in the way. I am always doing something whether cooking, cleaning, changing nappies, going to nursery, returning from nursery, bathing baby, feeding baby and so on. This means i need to work better on my time management to make some ‘me time’. I have heard people say that a women’s job is never done and so with that in mind i have decided that from now on i am going to make time for guilt free cups of tea. As a believer i know that the Bible is full of scriptures about rest…resting in God so i will do just that.
The fact remains that the dishes will always need cleaning, the house will always need cleaning,my children will always need my love and attention. Yes, as i am writing this i am just popping the kettle on and getting ready to put my feet up for a nice guilt free cuppa tea.
Matthew 11:28-29“…Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”
As a mother of two i have experienced two interesting pregnancies both of which i spat through it like an angry camel. I constantly felt bloated with my first princess and even went off most of my favorite food and fragrances however with my second i could not stand the smell of lasagna, jerk seasoning or peppers(most things i love). With my second baby i puked so much like an overfed dog until stayed away from most food just in case! I hardly put on any weight and even 2 weeks before giving birth i was asked if i am pregnant by somebody who saw me nearly every other day during the whole pregnancy. Anyway going back to the title, a research carried out at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto over a period of 20 years has concluded that women who experience morning sickness tend to give birth to healthier babies. They reported that woman who experienced morning sickness had healthier babies with lower rates of birth defects or developmental issues. The study also showed less cases of miscarriage or premature births in all 850,000 participants.
Wow this is very interesting and i think maybe morning sickness is God’s way of helping us stay away from certain foods that can cause issues in pregnancy and perhaps there maybe a hint of truth in there but with all studies i always tend to take it with a pinch of salt because other factors may have played a role for example class, genes, finances, environment, habits and so on or if the woman took anti-natal vitamins.
I for one have 2 beautiful and healthy daughters thanks to God….not morning sickness lol
Ever since my first daughter was born 4 years ago I have gone through more buggies and pushchairs than kiddicare.com. My first ever was a baby weaver travel system which came with a carry cot and a car seat. By baby was nearly 4 kilos at birth and long so she did not get much use of the car seat. She only ever went in the carry cot once at 2 weeks old and cried at the top of her lungs. After this I went through other buggies and most recently the Hauck Freerider which I only purchased 1 year ago but hardly used. Anyway to cut the long story short I have found the buggy that I should have purchased 4 years ago…introducing the Joovy ultralight! I did not want to waste anymore money on buggies so I decided to buy on gumtree.com. A nice lady listed one some time in May,i paid £65 and collected. My superhusband steam cleaned it for me and it looks fantastic. So far I have managed to ditch the sling for good and have been using my new best friend the Joovy ultralight. It is so easy to push and I love the fact that Grace can stand up on the board or sit on the bench if she gets tired after a long day out. This buggy has made nursery run so much easier especially when getting on or off the bus. It only takes the space of a single buggy so no more grumpy bus drivers telling me to wait for the next bus. Shame this buggy is not widely available here and I only had 2 options ebay or gumtree. There were plenty of sellers all based in America but by the time you calculate £80 shipping fee, it is enough to put you off. My advice if purchasing a buggy, buy a good one which can be used for years and for more than 1 baby if you intend to have more of course…(wink wink). This buggy can accommodate a new born baby by enabling you to attach a car seat. It can accommodate a toddler and so far I had been able to carry my 1 year old,her big sister and their friend from nursery so yes it is amazing it can take 3 children. I am really enjoying my hassle free outings and highly recommend this buggy.
This is another one of my favourite poem. What i love about it is the deliberate the deliberate mistake in grammar and also the way it captures the innocence of the way children communicate. Children are usually to the point and never mince their words. Another great thing about this poem is to the wider society it may seem as if the level of English used is quite poor but in reality it is not. The type of English used reflects the culture of the time it was written and the subculture of black English. Black people were segregated and experienced a lot of hardship so i believe their twist on the language was a way of uniting them….that is my take on it.
