The other day my hubby came home and asked what i was making for dinner. When i told him i was making Indomie he jokingly said, ‘i cant believe it i have a wife at home only to come home and eat Indomie’. I told him not to panic as i was preparing a treat.
Indomie noodles are enjoyed worldwide especially Nigeria (although manufactured in Indonesia). In Nigeria most people enjoy it with sardines or sometimes without. My sister in law is a scotch bonnet fanatic and i have witnessed her put about 3 big scotch bonnet chilli in hers.
Anyway as you can see in the picture above, i made mine with green peppers, eggs, onions and frankfurters. My hubby ate his words lol and ate my delicious creation for dinner that evening and breakfast the following morning…..talk about results.
I saw this advert a couple of weeks ago and could not help but laugh…how true is that! You know the feeling when your pregnant and craving for something and only that something will do. This man heeds to his wife’s cravings and goes out late in the night to find pickled gherkins for her. Pregnancy eh…some crave sweet some sour and some even crave clay but whatever it is you crave i am sure you can relate…my husband used to come home with bags and bags of royal gala apples as i could not get enough of it. I used to wonder if in the end i might give birth to an apple so i thank the Lord i had a sweet baby girl…lol
Baby slings are known to come in handy and my Graco baby carrier has served us so well. From the time my baby Shalom was born i knew i would used it more than i did with my first. I needed something that i could use with ease whilst taking my oldest to nursery drop off, pick up and even church. When Shalom was born i also purchased a hauck freerider double buggy. This is a lovely buggy with a generous rain cover but i often felt uneasy on the bus as it takes the space of nearly 2 buggies and sometimes other parents are not as patient. Grace has grown too and it is becoming more difficult to push the hauck so it has to go unfortunately. The hauck has also served its purpose but i think it would be best suited for children with similar weight who are also close in age.For months i have been using the sling and other mums have praised me for being brave enough to carry her on the sling beyond 6 months. For me it has not been about the age but rather the weight. It does say not to be used beyond 9 kilos and miss Shalom has grown and put some good weight on (not as much as i would like as still refusing non breast milk). I have started feeling more pain and pressure around my chest, neck and shoulders and i do not think i am doing both of us any favours so the other day i looked around on good old gumtree.com to see if i could find a joovy caboose. It seems like it would be perfect as Miss Grace can always sit on the bench or stand on the board whilst Shalom sits at the front. I have searched high and low for the ultralight joovy but it does not seem widely available within the UK. This buggy seems to be mostly available in America:( so i am hoping something will come through on gumtree soon because the sling is ready to go to the old sling’s home lol. Shalom is now over 10 kilos plus and i am just not enjoying the sling any more but i know i will miss having my baby close to me as well as being able to keep her calm whilst out and about. I will certainly also miss being guaranteed a bus journey because 2 buggy rule never applies.
Spare the rod spoil the child so Proverbs13.24 says but to what extent? Check out this mum in Tobago-Trinidad beating her 12 years old daughter because she found nude pictures of her on Facebook plus text messages from a boy asking her for sex. I found this video too painful to watch as it was rather excessive even though i have experienced worse. Still i am not here to judge her because i am not in her home so each to their own. Do you discipline your children mothers? if yes how? We are still at the naughty corner stage and i send my daughter to the corner for 4 minutes as she has just turned 4. So far it works for us and it gives her time to think about what ever it is she has done wrong and apologise…But God forbid i ever find naughty pictures of her on-line i will probably find the biggest pounded yam stick and and chase after her lol
You made something outta nothing by Jessica Reedy. I heard it playing on OHTV OH worship. It is such a beautiful song which i cannot get enough of. Like it says in Psalm 8:4, ‘what is man that you are mindful of him, and the son of man that you care for him? We are but clay in the hands of the Creator and this song just brings it home how indeed God can create something out of nothing. enjoy!
