I am loving the Bible app

download - Copydownload - Copydownload - CopyI received a new mobile phone over Christmas from my darling husband. I was so happy because it had been a while since i had a phone without cracks (no thanks to my girls). Being an apps expert that he is, he went through the trouble of downloading some great apps on my behalf. I am not a big techie person myself but at the same time i am loving my Bible app. Last year i fell behind on my Bible reading and became slightly sidetracked and disorganised so this year i decided to pick myself up and carry on.

The Bible app is simply amazing because it has helped me stay on top of my reading. I have used the Bible app to sign myself up for a challenge to read my Bible in one year. This is not the first time i am reading the whole Bible through. I read it through as a new believer from 2006 until 2008 (yep it took me 2 whole years). I want to read it through again because its just a great way to refresh and reboot my walk with Christ.

The challenge i am using is  simple and my mobile phone prompts me too which is handy. I recommend this app to everyone plus there are lots of reading plans so it is not one a shoe fits all type of app.

Jamie Grace is engaged :)

Congratulations to Jamie Grace who recently got engaged to Aaron Collins. I am just so happy for them especially as my princesses and i are huge fans of hers. This is such a beautiful testimony right here as Jamie has dealt with many issues in her life most notably her struggle with tourette syndrome. I had no idea about her disability until i saw her sister’s storyteller video. There is also a mention of this on Jamie’s show Jesus video where she jokingly says, ‘i need a friend’. We have always enjoyed her beautiful music which doesn’t reveal  any of the above. It is fair to say that God has put the pieces together and made her a storyteller (as her big sis would sing ) so here’s to a long, happy and blessed marriage to the lovely couple.

Happy mother’s day!

Happy Mother’s day to all you sweet and wonderful mothers out there. May God reward you for all that you do and increase  your knowledge so that we can do better. I know there are lots of parenting books out there but even with all that knowledge it is all by the grace of God. There is no such thing as a perfect parent or perfect child because we have all fallen short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23-24) but still we can do all all things through Christ amen…so please remain blessed and keep up the good work 🙂

Happy world book day 2018

worldbook - CopyWorld book day is one of my favourites events of the year. I love to see the excitement in my children’s faces as we scour through their favourite books to find one of their many favourite characters. For the past 2 weeks my youngest has changed her mind about her characters so many times i have lost count. First she wanted to go as a baby kangaroo (kangaroo kangaroo where are you) and then she decided she wanted to go as princess Elsa. I encouraged her to choose something different rather than  Frozen and plus she has worn that costume so many times. As little as she is she went away to play and ponder and then she had a light-bulb moment. She suddenly remembered a book she purchased during the book fair week called fairy magic by Cerrie Burnell. She was so excited she came shouting, ‘mummy i will go as blue summer fairy. I was glad she made her mind up as we were only a day away to world book day.

My big girl already decided weeks in advance she would go as Violet Beauregard from Charlie and the chocolate factory by Roald Dahl. It was super easy buying her costume which was purple with a puffball top plus it came with a golden ticket and some bubblegum. She was so happy with her choice and very much into her character. I also found it rather sweet that she took her time to talk to her little sister about her character. She told her little sister that Violet likes to store her bubble gum in her ears for safe keeping . Her baby sister was not impressed and she replied, ‘well if i had lots of bubblegum i would just chew it all up ok’.

After all the preparation and horrid weather i am so happy the day went so well. It was just so lovely seeing my girls with their friends really owning their characters and having so much fun. I really need to become more organised and hopefully next time  i will be more on the ball however it all depends on the children’s choices and as you all know children change their mind all the time.
